Timing of dispute submittal

A key component of submitting valid and effective disputes is the timing of dispute submittal. The ISO tariff provides scheduling coordinators with a specific window of time (based on the statement publication date) to notify the ISO of any errors. If no dispute is filed within the specified time period, the scheduling coordinator has been deemed to have validated its settlement statement and the statement is binding. Thus, it is imperative that scheduling coordinators submit their disputes within the tariff defined time frames in order for the ISO to take any action.
