The California ISO will hold a public stakeholder web conference on June 22, 2020, to discuss the draft tariff language for its Slow Demand Response (DR) proposal, which was initially proposed under the Resource Adequacy (RA) Enhancements initiative and recently finalized within the Proxy Demand Resource (PDR) - RA Clarifications initiative. The draft tariff language clarifies tariff changes needed to implement a pre-contingency dispatch of Slow DR resources that have a longer lead time for delivering energy for providing local RA capacity, to effectively resolve contingencies in compliance with applicable reliability standards.
The draft language will be available prior to the web conference on the initiative webpage at http://www.caiso.com/StakeholderProcesses/Proxy-demand-resource-resource-adequacy-clarification.
A web conference will be available for stakeholder convenience. In addition, the call will be recorded and the video file posted on the initiative webpage for a limited time. The recording is for informational and convenience purposes only, and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without ISO’s permission.
Please submit written comments on the draft tariff language in advance of the discussion to initiativecomments@caiso.com by end of day June 16.
