The California ISO has rescheduled the June 30, 2022 web meeting to July 7, 2022. This meeting is to discuss the second revised straw proposal for the Energy Storage Enhancements initiative.
The paper and presentation will be posted prior to the meeting on the initiative webpage. The second revised straw proposal for energy storage enhancements still contains aspects related to reliably operating storage resources as well as enhancements to the existing co-located model to allow market participants to better avoid grid charging. The ISO’s proposal to develop a new model for storage resources — the energy storage resource model — will not be addressed in the energy storage enhancements initiative. This aspect of the policy, along with potential enhancements to the existing non-generator resource model, will be addressed in a concurrent initiative. This will allow for additional time for workshops and policy development for these topics.
This meeting will be recorded and the video file will be posted on the initiative webpage for a limited time. The recording is for informational and convenience purposes only and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.
Please submit comments on the second revised straw proposal by end of day July 20, 2022, through the ISO’s commenting tool using the link on the initiative webpage.
