​Market price maps

The ISO wholesale power market prices electricity based on the cost of generating and delivering it from particular grid locations called nodes. One energy market runs the day before the energy is needed (day ahead market), while another one runs in real-time to balance last minute demand needs.

  

Switch between the Day-ahead, Real-time pre-dispatch and Real-time dispatch locational marginal price (LMP) maps using the drop down menu at the top of the map.  Prices are shown in megawatt-hours ($/MWh).


How to use the maps

 

Drill into the maps to find specific pricing data using these interactive features.
Change between maps using the drop down menu on the top left corner of the map
Find the trading date, hour and interval in the map's upper right corner
Identify the interval price ranges by comparing each node's color to the legend
Zoom in and out using the zoom menu in the lower right corner of the map or with your mouse controls
View detailed price data for a specific node by double clicking on the node
Price data are publicly available in Open Access Same Time Information System price reports.
