Contingency Modeling Enhancements Deployment Delayed, Bid-in Ramp Rate Functionality Not Eliminated

Summary
The California ISO will delay the Contingency Modeling Enhancements (CME) initiative beyond the Spring 2014 target deployment date. The bid-in ramp rate functionality, which was planned to be removed from ISO market bidding system with the Spring 2014 release in preparation of the CME release, will not be eliminated. Market participants may need to make changes to their systems to restore functionality.

The ISO will delay the Contingency Modeling Enhancements (CME) initiative beyond the target April 1, 2014 deployment date. A new timeline for the CME initiative deployment will be published early next year.
Elimination of bid-in ramp rate functionality was incorporated into the Spring 2014 release technical specification in preparation of the CME deployment. With the delay, the bid-in ramp functionality will not be eliminated. Market participants may need to make changes to their systems to restore functionality.
