The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) directed a generator that participated in the California ISO market to pay refunds because it had made sales before it received market-based rate authority. The ISO received $58,107 from the generator, and will distribute these funds to market participants pro rata according to the amount of Grid Management Charge that they paid during the refund period of Oct. 31, 2017 through April 15, 2018.
For additional information about the refunds and the ISO’s distribution, see Panoche Valley Solar, LLC, Order on Refund Report, 168 FERC 61,159 (2019).
Credits to market participants will be posted on statements and invoices published on Oct. 23, 2019, and will be reflected under charge code 8989.
