The ISO has scheduled a follow-up stakeholder working group call for October 27, 2015 to discuss demand response performance evaluation methodologies as part of the Energy Storage and Distributed Energy Resources initiative and an alternative proposal conceived as a result to the last working group meeting.
The previous meeting on October 12, 2015 discussed in greater detail the methodologies the ISO is considering as enhancements to proxy demand resources and reliability demand response resources. The ISO sought stakeholder input, ideas and possible revisions to the options under consideration, and in response, stakeholders Advanced Microgrid Solutions, SolarCity, and Stem developed a joint proposal for consideration.
The Energy Storage and Distributed Energy Resources - Meter Generator Output alternative proposal is available on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/AlternativeProposal-EnergyStorageandDistributedEnergyResources-MeterGenerationOutput.pdf.
The ISO expects the alternative stakeholder proposal to be the primary topic of discussion, thus stakeholder input on the proposal should be included in their feedback on the call discussion. The input provided will be considered in developing the draft final proposal on response performance evaluation methodologies predicted to be available by November 2.
