Main Text

The ISO, California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and California Energy Commission are partnering to develop a joint energy storage roadmap to advance energy storage in California.  This roadmap will propose actions and venues to address identified barriers related to storage, and builds on inputs gathered from stakeholders through a public outreach effort that was completed in August and a workshop held on September 4 at the ISO.  The final roadmap is expected to be completed by the end of 2014.

As an intermediate step toward completion of the roadmap, the roadmap team will conduct the October 13 workshop to present and discuss the draft roadmap and solicit feedback from stakeholders.  The draft roadmap will be available in the week prior to the workshop on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/CleanGrid/EnergyStorageRoadmap.aspx.
