The California ISO will begin to accept downsizing requests on Oct. 15, 2019, for active interconnection requests and commercial generating facilities seeking to downsize under the annual generator downsizing process. All downsizing requests and deposits must be submitted to the ISO by 5 p.m. (Pacific Time), Nov. 15, 2019.

The generator downsizing process extends to interconnection customers who meet the requirements set forth in the ISO Tariff Appendix DD, Section 7.5.

Interconnection customers making a downsizing request must submit all of the following by the due date:

• A completed Generator Downsizing Request form http://www.caiso.com/Documents/GeneratorDownsizingRequestForm.doc
• A Generator Downsizing Deposit of $60,000 in the form of a cashier's or bank check or Fed wire transfer.

Please refer to Tariff Appendix DD, Section 7.5 for complete guidelines related to the generator downsizing process and for submitting a downsizing request. Generator downsizing requests must be submitted to the following ISO address:
