Regional Integration and EIM Greenhouse Gas Compliance Proposal Call 2/22/18
The California ISO has scheduled a stakeholder call on Feb. 22, 2018 to discuss the second revised draft final proposal for the Regional Integration and Energy Imbalance Market (EIM) Greenhouse Gas Compliance initiative. Submit comments on the proposal and call discussion by March 1.
The latest proposal includes recommended design changes to enhance the current EIM GHG market design to improve how it captures the atmospheric impact that occurs in connection with EIM transfers that serve California load. The previous proposal, which introduced a second pass of the real-time market, was determined to have bidding incentive and pricing issues. The new approach uses the existing market optimization, but proposes GHG bidding rules to account for the secondary dispatch emissions.
Please submit written comments on the second revised draft final proposal and call discussion to firstname.lastname@example.org by close of business March 1.
This call will be recorded and posted on the initiative webpage for a limited time.
