Regional Integration: Regional Resource Adequacy Revised Straw Proposal Posted, Comments Due 5/4/16
The California ISO posted the revised straw proposal for the Regional Resource Adequacy initiative to its website. Please submit comments by May 4, 2016.
The ISO posted the revised straw proposal for the Regional Resource Adequacy initiative to its website. The revised proposal is composed of two documents due to the long length of each document: 1) the main body of the proposal and 2) a document that contains a matrix of stakeholder written comments and the ISO's written responses to those comments. The proposal is available at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/RevisedStrawProposal-RegionalResourceAdequacy.pdf and the matrix at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/CommentsMatrix-RegionalResourceAdequacy-RevisedStrawProposal.pdf.
The revised straw proposal includes additional details on the elements of the Regional Resource Adequacy framework that was proposed in the February 24, 2016 straw proposal. The ISO has provided background on proposal elements to improve stakeholder understanding of the issues being discussed. The proposal also includes options for certain elements of the proposal. The ISO is seeking stakeholder feedback on which options should be selected for future proposals.
A stakeholder meeting to review the revised straw proposal is scheduled on April 21, 2016 at the offices of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council in Salt Lake City, Utah.
A template to provide written comments on the straw proposal is available at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/CommentsTemplate-RegionalResourceAdequacy-RevisedStrawProposal_.doc. Please submit comments using the template to firstname.lastname@example.org by close of business May 4.
At any time during the policy development phase of the Regional Resource Adequacy initiative, the ISO is offering to hold an informational call upon stakeholder request to provide general information about how resource adequacy works or on topics specific to ISO's proposal for this initiative. If a stakeholder would like an informational call, the stakeholder should submit a request to email@example.com
More information on the initiative is available on the Regional Resource Adequacy webpage at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/RegionalResourceAdequacy.aspx.
If you are planning to attend the meeting in person, please send RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by close of business April 16.
