Main Text

The ISO has scheduled a stakeholder meeting at its headquarters in Folsom, California on October 7, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Pacific Time), to review the second revised straw proposal for the Transmission Access Charge Options initiative.  The proposal will be published by close of business September 28 on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/TransmissionAccessChargeOptions.aspx.

The Transmission Access Charge Options initiative focuses on how to allocate costs associated with owning, operating and maintaining high voltage transmission facilities (i.e., facilities rated above 200 kV) placed under ISO operational control by participating transmission owners (PTOs), should the ISO expand its balancing authority area by integrating a new PTO with a load service territory. The second revised straw proposal will consider all comments stakeholders have submitted on the ISO’s previous proposals in this initiative and on the August 10 working group meeting on cost allocation for new regional transmission projects and the proposed region-wide export access charge.

Please RSVP by close of business October 3 at http://www.rsvpbook.com/ISOStakeholderMeeting2016 if planning to attend in person.  A web conference will be available for those who are unable to participate in person.

Please note there will also be a stakeholder meeting for the Regional Resource Adequacy initiative held the previous day, Thursday, October 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) at the same location.  More information on that stakeholder initiative and meeting is available at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/RegionalResourceAdequacy.aspx.

A presentation for the stakeholder meeting will be published by close of business October 5 on the initiative webpage at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/TransmissionAccessChargeOptions.aspx. Materials related to the Transmission Access Charge Options initiative are also available on this webpage.

Please submit comments on the second revised straw proposal to initiativecomments@caiso.com by close of business October 21.
