Main Text

The CEC will host a workshop on May 6, 2016 to provide a public discussion of the foundational aspects of the ISO's corporate framework. Western states and stakeholders are invited to comment on key principles of regional grid operator governance.

Pursuant to Senate Bill 350, the Clean Energy and Pollution Reduction Act of 2015, modifications to the ISO governance structure would be needed to allow for the transformation of the ISO into a regional grid operation organization. This transformation will help promote the development of regional electricity transmission markets and improve access to those markets.

A web conference will also be available for interested parties to participate remotely. Web conference details and a meeting agenda will be provided in a subsequent market notice.
