Regional Resource Adequacy Load Forecasting Stakeholder Working Group Web Conference 6/22/16

Summary

The California ISO has scheduled a stakeholder working group web conference on June 22, 2016 to discuss the load forecasting element described in the second revised straw proposal for the Regional Resource Adequacy initiative.

Main Text

The ISO has scheduled a stakeholder working group web conference on June 22, 2016 to discuss the load forecasting element described in the second revised straw proposal for the Regional Resource Adequacy initiative available on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/SecondRevisedStrawProposal-RegionalResourceAdequacy.pdf.

The discussion will focus on the elements in the load forecasting section of the ISO's proposal.  Stakeholders are encouraged to involve their load forecasting experts in this working group in order to facilitate discussion on details surrounding the forecasting needs for an expanded regional Balancing Authority Area, and to help the ISO better understand individual stakeholder's forecasting capabilities.  The ISO will utilize the working group discussion to further develop the load forecasting component of the next Regional Resource Adequacy proposal.

A presentation for the working group will be published by close of business June 20 on the initiative webpage at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/RegionalResourceAdequacy.aspx. Related materials are also available here.
