Regional Resource Adequacy Second Revised Straw Proposal Posted




The California ISO has published the second revised straw proposal for the Regional Resource Adequacy initiative to be reviewed during the stakeholder meeting in Portland, Oregon on June 2, 2016.  Please submit comments by June 15.

The ISO has published the second revised straw proposal for the Regional Resource Adequacy initiative, which is available on the ISO website at


The second revised straw proposal provides additional details on the proposed revisions to the ISO's resource adequacy provisions for an expanded Balancing Authority Area (BAA).  The proposal includes descriptions of proposed processes for establishing certain aspects of the Resource Adequacy program as well as an analysis of the Maximum Import Capability for an expanded BAA.


A stakeholder meeting to discuss the second revised straw proposal is scheduled for June 2, 2016 at the Collective Agency in downtown Portland, Oregon.  If planning to attend in person, please RSVP at by May 27 as space is limited to the first 60 people.  A web conference will be available for those who are unable to participate in person.
