Resource Adequacy and Outage Coordination Processing Customer Partnership Group Call 1/4/18

SUMMARY

The California ISO has scheduled a customer partnership group call on January 4, 2018 to discuss process changes for resource adequacy and outage coordination as a part of the Reliability Services Initiative. These changes will be implemented in April 2018.


MESSAGE

The ISO has scheduled its first Resource Adequacy (RA) and Outage Coordination Processing customer partnership group call on January 4 to discuss process changes as a part of the Reliability Services Initiative. These process changes will be implemented in April 2018.

 

The following topics related to RA and outage coordination will be discussed during the call:

•  Business process changes

•  Impact of planned outages on generic and flexible RA

•  RA substitution for generic and flexible RA

   -  Submission of substitution

   -  Manage transmission-induced generation outages in the planned and forced timeframe

•  New RA and supply templates

 

The ISO will determine the frequency of this customer partnership group based on input received from stakeholders during the call.

 

Customer partnership group calls are interactive web conference forums designed to provide valuable input clarifying the ISO's final business requirements, which lead to development of internal specifications. These forums were created in response to customer requests to become more involved in the planning, design and usability validation phases of ISO application development, and to provide open, interactive dialogue to identify potential opportunities to improve the overall customer experience.

 

All ideas are welcome and will be considered based upon feasibility, prioritization and timeline constraints. Active participation makes these calls a success and improves customer interaction with ISO applications.
