SB 350 Studies Completed, Sent to Governor

Summary

As required by law, the California ISO has now finalized its studies of the economic and environmental effects of a regional power grid and submitted them to the governor.

Main Text

The California ISO’s studies of the economic and environmental impacts of an interconnected western states electric grid have been completed and submitted to California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr.

The completion of the studies and transmittal to the governor fulfills, in part, the requirements of the ISO in Senate Bill 350 – the Pollution Control and Reduction Act of 2015.

The ISO heartily appreciates the valuable input from hundreds of stakeholders during months of public workshops, web and phone-in conferences and gathering of written and spoken comments.

The grid operator now looks forward to continued stakeholder participation as the governance proposal takes shape, also a requirement of SB 350.
