The ISO is hosting a stakeholder meeting to discuss the straw proposal for the Transmission Access Charge Options initiative at its offices in Folsom, CA on March 1, 2016. In previous communications, the ISO had targeted a tentative date for this stakeholder meeting on February 26. The March 1 meeting is in lieu of the original date that was communicated.
The proposal will be available February 8 on the ISO website at
The Transmission Access Charge Options initiative focuses on the question of how to allocate the costs associated with owning, operating and maintaining the high voltage transmission facilities (i.e., facilities rated above 200 kV) placed under ISO operational control by participating transmission owners (PTOs), should the ISO expand its balancing authority area by integrating a new PTO with a load service territory. The straw proposal will provide the ISO's initial proposal on this topic, in consideration of FERC policy and input received through public meetings and written comments submitted since the ISO posted its issue paper on October 23, 2015.
Materials related to the Transmission Access Charge Options initiative are available at the above mentioned link.
Please note, another regional integration initiative stakeholder meeting for Regional Resource Adequacy will be held at the ISO offices on March 2. This meeting will provide an overview of the initiative's straw proposal, which will be available on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/RegionalResourceAdequacy.aspx. A subsequent market notice will announce when the straw proposal is published.
Please submit comments on the straw proposal to firstname.lastname@example.org by close of business March 10.
