Transmission Access Charge Options Public Workshop 1/11/16 in Folsom, CA
The California ISO has scheduled a Transmission Access Charge (TAC) Options public workshop at their headquarters in Folsom on January 11, 2016 to discuss the comments received on the October 23, 2015 issue paper and to further describe the current ISO TAC structure. Please RSVP by January 7, 2016 if planning to attend in person. A web conference is also available.
The ISO is hosting the second of two public workshops for the Transmission Access Charge Options initiative on January 11, 2016 to allow for maximum public participation on this topic. The purpose of the workshop is to facilitate detailed, interactive discussion by all parties on questions and issues raised in the written comments submitted in response to the initiative's October 23, 2015 issue paper. The discussion during the first workshop held on December 15, 2015 in Salt Lake City will also be incorporated for consideration.
The TAC Options initiative considers whether the existing structure of ISO's regional TAC should be retained if the ISO balancing authority area were significantly expanded by incorporating a transmission owner with a load service territory as a new participating transmission owner, or whether some other structure would be more appropriate.
The ISO will not present a proposal at this workshop, but will consider the input offered to develop a straw proposal to be posted on February 8.
The issue paper, its written comments and materials related to this initiative are available on the Transmission Access Charge Options webpage at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/TransmissionAccessChargeOptions.aspx.
A presentation for this workshop will be available January 7 on the webpage link above.
Please RSVP to SMC@caiso.com by close of business January 7 if planning to attend in person. Web conference information is available below for those unable to attend.
