The California ISO has published its Solar Eclipse Technical Bulletin on the forecasted impacts of the April 8, 2024 solar eclipse to provide market participants with technical details help prepare for the upcoming event.
The California ISO is preparing for a total solar eclipse that will pass through the southern and eastern United States on Monday, April 8, 2024. The report will highlight expected impacts to ISO and Western Energy Imbalance Market grid-scale commercial photovoltaic solar, behind-the-meter rooftop solar, load impacts, as well as market mechanisms and processes being deployed during the eclipse are discussed in the bulletin.

The content of the bulletin will be presented during an informational stakeholder call on Monday, March 11 at 1 p.m.
