The California ISO has launched a new initiative called Billing, Payment and Credit Enhancements, and scheduled a public stakeholder call on Oct. 3, 2023, to discuss the issue paper and draft final proposal for the initiative. This initiative will propose enhancements to the billing process and credit policy with the goal of further mitigating risks around market participant bankruptcies or other payment defaults.

The issue paper and draft final proposal is available on the Billing, Payment and Credit Enhancements initiative webpage. A presentation will be available on that same page prior to the call.

Please submit written comments on the issue paper and draft final proposal by end of day, Oct. 17, 2023, through the ISO’s commenting tool using the link on the initiative webpage.

The call will be recorded and the files posted to the initiative webpage for a limited time. Any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.
