The Western Energy Imbalance Market (WEIM) Regional Issues Forum (RIF) is a forum organized by 11 sector liaisons, providing a venue for stakeholders to discuss and share opinions on issues regarding the WEIM and relevant topics. RIF sector liaison, Matt Lecar, whose term is scheduled to expire in March 2024, has expressed interest in resigning from his role as ISO participating transmission owners sector liaison. Each sector of the forum is tasked with selecting liaisons whose roles are to organize and facilitate input and participation from their respective sectors on topics and content of the forums.
The RIF Operating Guidelines provide that, upon receipt of a liaison’s intent to resign, that ISO will issue a public notice establishing a time and date for a sector call not sooner than 21 days from the notice and requesting that interested candidate submit a statement of interest to the ISO within 20 days.
Qualified candidates should submit applications to Sienna Levine at slevine@caiso.com (cc Holly Taylor (htaylor@caiso.com). A statement of interest is due no later than 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time on Feb. 25, 2024. The ISO participating transmission owner sector liaison roll meeting will be held on Feb. 26, 2024. Details on how to join the meeting will be available on the WEIM calendar before the meeting.
Information on the RIF, including a current list of RIF sector liaisons, is available on the RIF webpage, on the WEIM website. |
