This data is for informational purposes only, and should not be used for determining actual billing values or operational planning.
Shows wholesale power market prices electricity based on the cost of generating and delivering it from particular grid locations called nodes. The day ahead market runs the day before the energy is needed, while the 15 minute market runs in 15 minute intervals to balance last minute demand needs. Prices are shown in megawatt-hours ($/MWh).
How to use the price map
Drill into the maps to find specific pricing data by using the +/- buttons to zoom.
Change between maps using the tabs labeled "Day-Ahead", "Fifteen-Minute" and "Real-Time".
Find the trading date, hour and interval above the map.
Filter out Locational Marginal Prices (LMP) by using the slider.
