Capacity Procurement Mechanism Enhancements Track 2: Workshop on 5/11/23
MESSAGE

The California ISO will host a virtual public stakeholder workshop on May 11, 2023 to launch track 2 for the Capacity Procurement Mechanism (CPM) Enhancements initiative. CPM Enhancements track 2 is an ISO tariff-required stakeholder initiative to consider updating the CPM soft offer cap, which is based on 120% of the levelized going-forward fixed costs of a combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT). The California Energy Commission (CEC) will participate in the stakeholder call and will present updated fixed cost outputs from the CEC’s Cost of Generation model.

 

Prior to the workshop, meeting materials will be posted to the initiative webpage.

 

The workshop will be recorded and the video file posted on the initiative webpage for a limited time. The recording is for informational convenience purposes only, and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.

 

Please submit written comments on the stakeholder workshop discussion by end of day June 1, 2023, through the ISO’s commenting tool using the link on the initiative webpage.
