The California ISO has posted an updated list of announced retirement and mothball resources, per the Generator Management Business Practice Manual. When resources of 45 megawatts or more are added to the list, all stakeholders are notified in the daily briefing. The list includes all resources, regardless of size.
The Announced Retirement and Mothball List provides stakeholders with information regarding notification requests to change a resource status either from active to retired, mothballed (otherwise unavailable to the grid) or from mothball back to active. The document contains the resource status, the ISO grid reliability review, deliverability retention status, and major milestones for maintaining deliverability for the retired/mothballed resources.
