The California ISO changes to E-Tag Auto-Approval for E-Tags submitted after the T-20 deadline is scheduled for implementation in Production on Nov. 15, 2023. After the implementation, the T-20 deadline is the latest time an E-Tag can be submitted before it is late.
Per NERC and NAESB standards, the T-20 deadline (less than 20 minutes before the start of the operating hour) is the latest time an E-Tag can be submitted before the time classification is late.
- Before the change, the ISO auto approves any late tag submitted after T-20.
- After the change, the ISO will no longer auto approve E-Tags submitted after T-20 due to the reliability impact of late E-Tags. However, when applicable for reliability reasons, the ISO may manually approve any late E-Tags on a case-by-case basis.
The associated California ISO operating procedure referenced below has been updated.
