MESSAGE

RC West has revised and posted RC0310 for visibility prior to Apr. 1, 2024 effective date.

RC0310 Mitigating System Operating Limits (SOL) and Interconnection Reliability Operating Limits (IROL) Exceedances, version 2.0, effective Apr. 1, 2024.

Major revisions to several sections to align procedure with revised FAC011-4 and revised RC0610 SOL Methodology, which will be effective Apr. 1, 2024. Retired RC0130A (effective 4/01/24), and incorporated SOL Reporting Guidelines into new Section 3.3 (TOP Notification Requirements for SOL Exceedances). Revised definition of System Operating Limit (SOL), and added definition for System Voltage Limit, to align with updated definitions in the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Glossary. (Update was approved by the Real-Time Working Group.)

Procedure will remain visible in the “Draft procedures or future effective procedures section” until the Apr. 1, 2024 effective date, at which it will be published as the current version of RC0310.

The California ISO and RC West operating procedures are available on the Operating Procedures webpage.
