The California ISO has posted its April 2024 Renewables Performance Report. The report tracks progress of the ISO toward the state’s Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) Program goals and includes key metrics such as solar and wind generation records and trends in renewables serving load.
To enhance the value of this report, a new graph has been added that captures the “Monthly Maximum Percent of Consumer Load Served by Renewables.” This addition complements the existing graph of “Monthly Maximum Percent of Load Served by Renewables.” While “load” in the latter case represents total megawatts (MW) on the grid, “consumer load” removes battery charging and discretionary pumped load data to reflect consumer demand. Consumer load is equivalent to the demand data posted to Today’s Outlook.
The ISO validates data after the end of each month and the report is then published mid-month.
The monthly reports are available on the Reports and bulletins webpage, under the Market reports heading.
If you experience formatting issues while viewing the report, remove the “s” from the “https://” in your browser. When the new caiso.com website launches on May 30, this step will no longer be required. Thank you for your patience. |
