The California ISO will hold a public stakeholder call on Jan. 28, 2020, to discuss the processes and methodology for the 2021 flexible capacity needs assessment and availability assessment hour study. The ISO uses the assessment to determine the quantity of flexible capacity needed for the upcoming resource adequacy year and how this quantity is allocated to local regulatory authorities (see tariff section 40.10.1 for additional detail regarding the ISO study).
A presentation will be posted to the ISO website prior to the meeting at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/FlexibleCapacityNeedsAssessmentProcess.aspx.
A web conference will be available for stakeholder convenience. In addition, the call will be recorded and the video file posted on the initiative webpage for a limited time. The recording is for informational and convenience purposes only, and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.
