The California ISO will hold a web conference on Oct. 10, 2019, to discuss tariff clarifications related to the Commitment Cost Enhancements (CCE) initiative.
The clarifications address changes related to use-limited resources, conditionally available resources (CARs), and run-of-river hydro resources. The clarifications offer a restatement of the CCE objectives, as well as bidding and Resource Adequacy Availability Incentive Mechanism (RAAIM) implications for these resources. During the call, the ISO will also take follow-up questions on its planned tariff clarifications regarding the effective flexible capacity (EFC) calculations. These changes were discussed in the May 14, 2019, EFC Ratings Process Clarification meeting, and the ISO recently posted a response
matrix on the ISO website.
The draft tariff language and white paper for the CCE clarifications, as well as all material related to the EFC Ratings Process clarifications, are available on the Miscellaneous Meetings webpage at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/MeetingsEvents/MiscellaneousStakeholderMeetings/Default.aspx. A presentation will also be available prior to the meeting on the webpage linked above, under this meeting header.
A web conference will be available for stakeholder convenience. In addition, the meeting will be recorded and the video file posted on the initiative webpage for a limited time. The recording is for informational and convenience purposes only, and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.
Please submit written comments the material posted or the presentation to initiativecomments@caiso.com by end of day on October 14.
