Contingency Modeling Enhancements: Addendum to Draft Final Proposal Posted

The ISO posted an addendum to the Contingency Modeling Enhancements draft final proposal on its website at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/AddendumDraftFinalProposal-ContingencyModelingEnhancements.pdf. The addendum does not change the proposal, it provides clarity to questions raised by stakeholders during the draft final proposal comment period. The initiative will be presented to the ISO Board of Governors for approval at the September 2017 meeting.
Stakeholders asked the ISO to clarify which constraints the ISO would use the contingency modeling enhancement to model. The ISO addresses this in Section 1.1 of the addendum and added Section 5.3 to clarify the circumstances in which it will use the constraint.
