The ISO has scheduled a public stakeholder call on April 13, 2018 to discuss draft tariff language for the Dispatch Operating Target Tariff Clarification initiative. The language has been posted on the ISO initiative webpage at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/DispatchOperatingTargetTariffClarification.aspx.
In late 2017, the ISO proposed business practice manual (BPM) changes to clarify when eligible intermittent resources are allow to generate as capable and when the eligible intermittent energy resources must follow their dispatch operating target. Based on stakeholder comments to the BPM change process, the ISO committed to provide additional tariff clarity to support the existing policy for eligible intermittent resources following their dispatch operating target. In addition, the proposed tariff changes (1) more accurately define dispatch operating target (DOT) and dispatch operating point (DOP) and (2) conform the tariff to NERC COM 002-4 regarding the issuance of “Operating Instructions.”
Please submit comments on the draft tariff language by close of business on April 6 to InitiativeComments@caiso.com.
