The California ISO is hosting a foundational workshop for the Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM) initiative on Nov. 12, 2021. The objective of this workshop is to provide stakeholders: 1) with a foundational overview of the day-ahead market, the EDAM Common Design Principles and Concepts, 2) the initiative scope and 3) opportunity to form stakeholder working groups that will be established to develop the policy. The workshop will also include a review of the
Day-Ahead Market Enhancements initiative for the purposes of reviewing the components that are critical to the EDAM. Presentation materials will be posted prior to the workshop on the EDAM initiative webpage.
The ISO announced this foundational workshop during the Oct. 13, 2021 EDAM Forum where the EDAM common design principles and concepts were initially shared with stakeholders. The upcoming workshop is intended to provide stakeholders with an opportunity to delve into a detailed discussion on the common design principles, offer feedback and ask questions.
This workshop will be recorded, and the video file will be posted on the initiative webpage for a limited time. The recording is for informational and convenience purposes only and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.
