The California ISO has scheduled a public stakeholder web meeting on Dec. 5, 2019, to discuss the revised straw proposal for the FERC Order 831 - Import Bidding and Market Parameters initiative, formerly known as Import Bid Cost Verification. The objective of this initiative is to explore cost verification measures for intertie offers above $1,000/MWh and explore alternative methodologies for setting market prices when the ISO market must relax constraints under a $2,000/MWh bid cap.
The revised straw proposal is available on the initiative webpage at http://www.caiso.com/StakeholderProcesses/FERC-Order-831-Import-bidding-and-market-parameters.
An agenda and presentation will also be available prior to the meeting on the webpage linked above.
A web conference will be available for stakeholder convenience. In addition, the meeting will be recorded and the video file posted on the initiative webpage for a limited time. The recording is for informational and convenience purposes only, and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.
Please submit written comments on the revised straw proposal to initiativecomments@caiso.com by close of business Dec. 19, 2019.
