The California ISO has posted revised draft tariff language for the Flexible Ramping Product Refinements initiative, which is available at https://stakeholdercenter.caiso.com/StakeholderInitiatives/Flexible-ramping-product-refinements.
The revised tariff language includes incremental clarifications on how the changes proposed in this initiative interact with the market power mitigation processes (see sections 34.1.5 and 39.7.2). This version also includes further clarification on how the ISO will set the uncertainty requirements for the group of balancing authority areas that pass the sufficiency determination and separate requirements for any that do not pass the sufficiency determination (see section 44.2.4). The ISO is planning to file the language with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in April, 2021.
The ISO is not planning to host a stakeholder call to discuss the revised tariff language, however, stakeholders can submit questions regarding the latest revisions through the ISO’s commenting tool using the link on the initiative webpage provided above by April 2, 2021.
