The California ISO is pleased to announce that there is still space available for all parties interested in attending its Markets and Settlements Training Workshop, which offers the following courses:

• Introduction to ISO Markets: Oct. 5-6, 2021
• Market Transactions: Oct. 12-13, 2021
• ISO Settlements: Oct. 18-19, 2021

(Note that the first two courses take place on Tuesday/Wednesday, and the third course is held on Monday/Tuesday.)

This workshop is normally held in person at the ISO campus, but has been converted to a series of online sessions in order to comply with the temporary in-person meeting restrictions due to COVID-19. This online workshop provides participants with the opportunity to attend this training session virtually, and may be especially beneficial for those individuals who have not been able to attend an in-person course due to travel constraints.

The Markets and Settlements Training Workshop is designed for individuals who have completed the required prerequisite online learning modules. Payments must be received prior to the start of each class. The registration deadlines for each course are shown below.

Learners have the option to enroll in one or more day(s) that interest them. There is a 20% discount for those individuals who enroll in all three days of the workshop.

Introduction to ISO Markets

This course provides lecture and exercises that explore the day-ahead and real-time market processes from the perspective of the market operator.

This course provides lecture and exercises that follow the path from bidding to market results from the perspective of the scheduling coordinator.

ISO Settlements

This course provides lecture and exercises that review market settlements from the perspective of the scheduling coordinator.
