SUMMARY

The California ISO has posted an update to the draft final proposal for the Imbalance Conformance Enhancements initiative. The ISO is accepting written comments in response to the Energy Imbalance Market (EIM) Governing Body decisional classification change. Please submit written comments by March 21, 2018.

MESSAGE

The ISO has made minor revisions to the Imbalance Conformance Enhancements draft final proposal based on stakeholder feedback. The updated version and a redlined version are available on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/ImbalanceConformanceEnhancements.aspx.

The updated proposal includes these revisions:

Energy Imbalance Market Governing Body decisional classification change
Authority for EIM operator to conform (tariff change)
Pricing impacts analysis of enhanced imbalance conformance limiter (Appendix B)
Conduct data analysis to support removal of the conformance limiter

The ISO is not planning to conduct a separate stakeholder call to review these updates. However, the ISO is accepting comments on the EIM Governing Body decisional classification change included in the revised proposal. Please submit to initiativecomments@caiso.com by close of business March 21.
