Effective Feb. 1, 2021 the California ISO implemented the Intertie Deviation Settlement. Part of this project included a change in electronic tag (e-Tag) submission timeline from 20 minutes before the hour (T-20) to 40 minutes before the hour (T-40). Specifically, if an intertie bid is submitted:
- The SC is required to submit the transmission profile of the e-Tag by 40 minutes before the hour
- The SCs are allowed to submit changes to the energy profile of the e-Tag up to 20 minutes before the hour (existing procedure)
- If no e-Tag is submitted the fifteen minute market (FMM) schedule will be set to zero MW
Effective Monday, Feb. 8, 2021 the ISO will implement the change to the e-Tagging deadline for intertie transactions, consistent with the Intertie Deviation Settlement market initiative.
