The California ISO has launched a new initiative called Clarifications to Reliability Must-Run (RMR) Designation Process, and will hold a public stakeholder call on Aug. 17, 2021, to discuss the related issue paper.
Through this initiative, the primary type of RMR designation will be determined when both local and system reliability need exists simultaneously.
The paper is available on the initiative webpage. A presentation will also be available prior to the call on that same page.

Please submit written comments on the issue paper by end of day Aug. 31, 2021, through the ISO’s commenting tool using the link on the initiative webpage.
