The California ISO is hosting a stakeholder call on Nov. 21, 2019, to review the issue paper/straw proposal for the new Flexible Ramping Product (FRP) Refinements initiative, which is available on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/FlexibleRampingProductRefinements.aspx .
The ISO published a report in September 2019 that analyzed the price performance within ISO markets. The analysis showed inefficiencies in the FRP. This initiative will explore several refinements to the flexible ramping product design to improve the effectiveness of the FRP awards in the real-time market.
An agenda and presentation will also be available prior to the call on the webpage link above.
Please submit written comments on the issue paper/straw proposal and call discussion to initiativecomments@caiso.com by end of day Dec. 5.
