The Western Energy Imbalance Market (WEIM) Regional Issues Forum (RIF) Public Interest Groups and Consumer Advocates sector is hosting a call to seek input from the sector on potential candidates to fill the WEIM Governing Body seats for which terms will expire in 2022. The California ISO is assisting this sector and will host a public stakeholder call that will be led by the RIF liaison and WEIM Nominating Committee member representing this sector.
The WEIM Nominating Committee has started its process to nominate a slate for the Governing Body seats. An updated list of Nominating Committee members is available on the WEIM Governance webpage that reflects new members and the Public Interest/Consumer Advocate sector’s new voting role.
The definition of this sector, as stated in the WEIM Regional Issues Forum Operating Guidelines, is “public interest groups and consumer advocate groups that are actively involved in energy issues within the WEIM footprint. This sector will include one Liaison from organizations that represent end-use customers and one Liaison from organizations that represent other public interests”. More information is available on the RIF webpage.
