The ISO has rescheduled the stakeholder call to discuss the issue paper and straw proposal for the Imbalance Conformance Enhancements initiative to December 8, 2017 from December 6. This change was requested by stakeholders because of a conflicting meeting the same day. The issue paper and straw proposal are available on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/IssuePaper-StrawProposal-ImbalanceConformanceEnhancements.pdf.

Please submit written comments on the issue paper and straw proposal to initaitivecomments@caiso.com by close of business December 20.
The scope of this initiative will clarify the ISO’s authority to conform for imbalance in both real time and the day ahead. The purpose of conforming is to maintain reliability of the bulk electric grid. It will also propose enhancements for the conformance limiter. The purpose of the limiter is to ensure price spikes do not result from artificial market infeasibilities.
