The California ISO is postponing stakeholder engagement activities for the Resource Adequacy Enhancements (RAE) Phase 2 initiative until February 2022.
Phase 2 of this initiative includes changes to the resource adequacy program designed to align with policy changes under development in the Day-Ahead Market Enhancements (DAME) Initiative. In order to keep these two policy initiatives aligned on timing and responsive to changes still under development in DAME, the ISO is delaying moving forward in the next step of the RAE Phase 2 stakeholder process until after the next straw proposal in DAME. This decision was also supported by a number of stakeholder comments submitted on the RAE Phase 2 straw proposal. This initiative is now scheduled to go to the ISO Board of Governors for decision in Q3 2022. The ISO will notify stakeholders when new information related to both the DAME and RAE initiatives is available.
