The California ISO is offering a web training on Aug. 3, 2020, to prepare market participants for using its new online commenting tool that will standardize the submission and management of stakeholder comments.
As part of our commitment to continuously improve customer service and stakeholder processes, the ISO created a commenting tool with functions that allow stakeholders to easily manage and view comments with a single click. The new tool also provides users with the ability to filter and organize comments, and download selected comments in a Word document format. In addition, the online template allows stakeholders to incorporate rich text and in-line graphics within submitted comments. The new tool also strengthens cyber security for the ISO and stakeholders.
The first stakeholder initiatives to utilize the tool will be Extended Day Ahead Market Enhancements (July 27 and 29 meetings) Western Energy Imbalance Market Governance Review (August 7 meeting) and Hybrid Resources Phase 2 (August 10 meeting). The commenting tool requires a one-time registration for comment submission by providing basic contact and company information. Registration within the tool will be available on August 3 following the training. At that time, stakeholders will be able to register, if they have not already done so during the testing phase.
