The California ISO has scheduled an informational stakeholder call on Oct. 29, 2020, to provide an update on the Day-Ahead Market Enhancements initiative. A presentation will be posted at this link prior to the call.

In the revised straw proposal, the ISO proposed a multi-pass solution that sought to remove the interaction between energy schedules and reliability energy schedules while maintaining the new reliability capacity up/down and imbalance reserves up/down market products. The ISO has further evaluated this approach and determined that the multi-pass solution would not converge to produce efficient market schedules. Therefore, the ISO is developing an alternative approach which will be discussed with stakeholders in the near future.
