The California ISO posted to its website a list of project sponsors whose project sponsor applications satisfy the information submission requirements and are valid for the Transmission Planning Process, Phase 3 Competitive Solicitation process for the selection of an approved project sponsor. The list is available at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/ListofValidatedProjectSponsorApplications-RoundMountain500kVDynamicReactivePowerSupport.pdf.

Pursuant to section 24.5.2.4 of the ISO Tariff, the ISO validated twelve applications that satisfy the information submission requirements. The ISO will now consider whether the validated project sponsors are qualified and then will undertake the selection process to determine which qualified project sponsor should finance, construct, own, operate and maintain the Round Mountain 500kV Dynamic Reactive Support transmission solution.
