The California ISO selected LS Power Grid California, LLC as the approved project sponsor to finance, construct, own, operate and maintain the Round Mountain 500kV Dynamic Reactive Support transmission solution. LS Power Grid California, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of LS Power Associates, L.P.

The ISO conducted a comparative analysis of six qualified project sponsors and their twelve applications. The analysis included assessing the degree that each project sponsor met the selection factors under ISO tariff section 24.5.4 and the qualification criteria under the ISO tariff section 24.5.3.1.
