California ISO Seeks Stakeholder Participation in Board Nominee Review Committee
In accordance with the California ISO Board Selection Policy, the ISO is organizing the Board Nominating Review Committee that will be responsible for nominating candidates for the ISO Board of Governors. The Committee consists of six stakeholder sectors outlined below. The ISO is activating the Committee and is seeking stakeholder participation.
The Committee is comprised of six stakeholders from each of the following member-class sectors: End-Users & Retail Energy Providers, Public Interest Groups, Transmission Owners, Transmission-Dependent Utilities, Generators & Marketers, and Alternative Energy Providers. Each sector is responsible for selecting its own six members to serve on the Committee. Stakeholders interested in participating should send their contact information by Oct. 11, 2019, to the sector lead of the member class sector that best represents the stakeholder.
The following steps will be taken for the nomination:
The professional search firm of Lyceum Leadership Consulting will create a list of at least four qualified candidates for each Board seat set to expire on Dec. 31, 2019.
The list of qualified candidates will be forwarded to the 36 member Committee, which is comprised of six stakeholders from each of the six member-class sectors.
Based on inputs from the Committee, Lyceum Leadership Consulting will submit a recommendation of candidates to the ISO for transmittal to the Governor's office.
Member-Class Sector Contacts
To streamline communication between the ISO, the Committee, and Lyceum, each ISO member-class sector is represented by a sector lead who has accepted the ISO's invitation to serve in that capacity. The list of contacts is below.
End User and Retail energy providers (e.g. load-serving entities that do not own transmission or distribution assets)
Recommendations for Board member candidates to be considered in the nominee search process should be submitted by Oct. 25, 2019, directly to Carly Olson at Lyceum Leadership Consulting at firstname.lastname@example.org.
