The California ISO will hold a public stakeholder call on May 14, 2019 to discuss clarifications to the Effective Flexible Capacity (EFC) ratings process. A presentation will be available prior to the call on the Miscellaneous Stakeholder Meetings webpage at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/MeetingsEvents/MiscellaneousStakeholderMeetings/Default.aspx.
These updates clarify the EFC Calculation used for all resources, as well as to resources within the exemption category to the general resource calculation, such as batteries, proxy demand resources (PDR), hydro, combined heat and power (CHP), and multi-stage generation (MSG) resources. Draft tariff language for these clarifications will also be posted prior to the call on the webpage linked above.
A web conference will be available for stakeholder convenience. In addition, the call will be recorded and the video file posted on the initiative webpage for a limited time. The recording is for informational and convenience purposes only, and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO's permission.
Please submit written comments on the draft tariff language to initiativecomments@caiso.com by close of business May 28.
