A stakeholder call is scheduled on December 12, 2017 to discuss draft tariff language for the Energy Storage and Distributed Energy Resources Phase 2 initiative. The proposed language is available on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/DraftTariffLanguage-EnergyStorage-DistributedEnergyResourcesPhase2.docx.
These proposed tariff revisions address alternative baseline enhancements for demand response (DR) resources, the distinction between charging energy and station power, and updates to the net benefits test for DR resources.
Please submit comments to initiativecomments@caiso.com by close of business December 5. We request that suggested revisions be submitted as redlines in the Word document. Follow these steps to create the redlined version: 1) download the draft tariff language Word document from the website, 2) turn on the ‘Track Changes’ function, 3) make your revisions, 4) save the document in Word format—do not convert the document to a PDF file, and 5) submit the redlined Word version, which allows the ISO to more efficiently incorporate stakeholder input.
